Dan Terranova, PE, Principal
Mr. Terranova has over 20 years of experience providing geotechnical engineering recommendations. He has worked on projects across the United States and is experienced in numerous geologic settings. Over the past 15 years the majority of his work has been concentrated within the Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama area. He has been privileged to have worked several notable projects being the Geotechnical Engineer of Record for the Bridgestone Arena, Pinnacle Tower, Music City Center, Omni Hotel, The Icon in the Gulch, and has worked with the design team on the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Murray Fulkerson, Materials Testing Manager
Mr. Fulkerson has over 20 years of experience providing Construction Material Testing services. He has performed services during the construction activities on notable projects such as the Music City Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Pinnacle Tower. Mr. Fulkerson is a valuable member of the design team during the construction activities providing Quality Control as the owner’s representative in the field. Mr. Fulkerson provides observations in the field and works with the contractor to alleviate potential construction issues and correct deficiencies in the field. He works well communicating with other members of the design team to identify and assist in providing solutions to construction related issues.
George Waller, EI
Project management and coordination of geotechnical services, including field observations, laboratory testing and report preparation. Performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM Standards. Mr. Waller has experience serving as a field Inspector responsible for providing EPSC review services for roadway and highway projects for compliance of environmental regulations governing construction site run-off for roadway projects.
Michael Logan, EI
Mr. Logan has served as field engineer for multiple geotechnical and construction materials testing projects. He has performed boring layout, drilling coordination, test-pit observation, laboratory testing, and assisted with seismic refraction. Additional responsibilities include project management and review of daily reports for construction materials testing projects. Mr. Logan has served as project manager on numerous construction materials testing projects. His experience also includes a variety of inspection and testing projects for the Alabama DOT.
Project management with primary focus on providing coordination of all aspects of field services including planning and overseeing subsurface explorations, assigning laboratory testing, and site reconnaissance and soil classification/review. Conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control oversight of major industrial clients as the engineer’s field representative. Monitoring of concrete, earth and rock fill placement, and foundation construction. Performance of routine topographic surveying activities utilizing an electronic surveying equipment. Experience in sinkhole delineations and repair, slope stability instrumentation and seismic instrumentation operations. Experience in CADD operations, including AutoCAD and Surveying software.
Mr. Schroder has served as field engineer for multiple geotechnical and construction materials testing projects. He performs field observations including rock fill and earth fill placement, he is certified and trained to use a nuclear density gauge and is Hazmat trained. He provides observation of concrete placement and testing. Mr. Schroder is ACI certified and ICC Soils Special Inspector Certified. Representative projects include Jefferson Commons Development, MTSU, Mars Petcare Development Center and water treatment plants.
Brian (Buck) Buchanan, CWI
Mr. Buchanan has served as senior engineering field technician providing inspection and testing of soil compaction, reinforced concrete placement, and structural steel erection in the commercial construction industry. Coordinated with contractors, subcontractors, and building design engineers to provide the timely performance of testing and inspection needs in accordance with project specifications, building design plans, and established codes.
Mr. Hamid has served as senior engineering field technician providing inspection and testing of soil compaction, reinforced concrete placement, post-tensioning, and precast concrete. Coordinated with contractors, subcontractors, and building design engineers to provide the timely performance of testing and inspection needs in accordance with project specifications, building design plans, and established codes.
Aaron Carter, Senior Engineering Technician
Mr. Carter has a combined experience of 18 years as a codes inspector and a senior engineering technician. He has worked on projects such as 1818 Church St, Somerby Franklin, Northgate Retail, Morning Point, Fountains of Germantown, 2525, Opry Mills and AEDC Arnold. Mr. Carter provides site services in wood structural framing, mass grading, reinforced steel installation and concrete placement. He works with clients, contractors and local municipalities in an attempt to promote compliant projects and workable solutions.
